  do tell...where did we go off topic?

  i see several people trying to shove catholicism down other people's throats. i can't speak for others who responded to those posters, but i for one mst push back to defend my pagan family members and ancestors, many of whom have had their lives ravaged by YOUR christianity

  on a personal note, i'd consider myself among them. jws are a christian cult and MY life has been dramatically altered in a not so good way because of those very similar christian beliefs

  lol. i KNOW my BUDDHIST FULL BLOODED JAPANESE grandmother would have been proud of my sticking up for the bastard heathens and pagans who have jst as mch right to their beliefs, cstoms and cultures.

  my hope is that she's in some sort of other worldly 4th dimension giggling with glee about it right now.

  of course i'm only 25% japanese so maybe i'm wrong lmfao.

  but i wonder how the other 75% of my pagan ancestors originating from africa would feel over my defense for other pagan cultres, beliefs and customs.

  you know, i think they'd be pretty fcking proud too considering THEIR pagan beliefs, customs and clture was ravaged by christianity and colonialists.

  the notion that erope was in anyway shape or form any better than any other continent in terms of war, bloodshed and immorality is asinine and plain fckin stupid to a degree i can't even begin to describe. i mean, those south africans who held up apartheid were jst so god damn moral.

  the sothern baptists stringing up black people on trees and burning crosses were jsut so fuucking moral

  mch more so than the buddhist monk meditating in his temple. f'ing pagan. i'm sure he'll rot in hell for not worshipping the true god and the true church built by peter...

  it's sad considering your soul might depend on it. i'm pretty sure christ would have lovingly gone point by point proving the truth rather than saying:

  i'd like to mention, my grandmother's family owned a bddhist temple which she was raised on until ww2 when the land was lost. by definition, she was pagan and by definition my family still living in japan is pagan.

  now call me crazy, but i take offense to someone saying my family's morals are any less valid than some made up christian ones. i REALLY take offense to someone saying that my family's society is somehow less than a christian society.

  to top it off, as someone who leans towards atheism, but geniunely HOPES there's a god/reason/purpose even though rationally there's no reason to believe so, i take offense to someone saying that i'm some sort of "...coward(s) that won't commit to anything..."

  very christ-like indeed.

  but of course, is that really surprising? the ones who shove christianity in other people's faces tend to be the ones who least live by christian principles, which tend to be rather universal anyway.

  -inquisitions

  -corruption

  -child molestation cover ups (i bet christ REALLY puut his blessing on that one. theocratic warfare on the little ones i'm sure)

  -denying equal rights for homosexuals to get married and have equal protection under the law (i'm juust stumped how vanderplatz and all those wishing to deny marriage rights for people of a different sexual orientation can somehow claim to be DEFENDING marriage, when they themselves have divorced and married mltiple times while allegedly demanding his wife enter into an open marriage. wait...isn't newt catholic? lolz)

  self awareness? get off it. this entire thread was a circle jerk to convince people that catholicism is the only true way. orthodox1 came into this with the sole prpose of throwing disingenous questions in an effort to convert others. isidore and you joined in. there was no honest intent to talk about why the jws erroneously feel they have some sort of god given authority. the entire purpose of this thread was to force YOUR beliefs onto others.

  to then go looking for persecution is juust plain laughable.

  here's a bit of advice. if you want to have an honest debate, try starting the debate in an honest manner. trolling for converts on a message board poplated with people who came out of a clt is not the way to have an honest debate.

  just think about what YOU said. actually, first, do yourself a favor and read about why mexico didn't allow chrches to own land. try reading about the history of colonialism in africa, central and south america.

  this entire thread took a wretched turn from the moment isidore got into the thread and then became downright disgusting the moment people decided to equate all pagans with human sacrifice/poor morality

  here's what i find fnny. the ASSumption that people here hate catholicism because they were conditioned to do so by the mind control cultists knowns as the jehovah's witnesses

  it couldn't be due to seeing how catholics completely screwed up south and central america? or the bloody and racial wars perpetrated by god's so called organization? we can't hate it because we hate the notion of priests actively hiding and moving around sexual predators while giving the bird to the victims?

  i personally hate the superiority complex of any religion that somehow deems it their right and duty to wipe out whole groups of people while looking down their nose at them and enslaving them in the name of god.

  i think it's stomach churning and revolting that anyone could somehow believe it was better for whole populations of people to die and lose their entire culture while being forced to work on sugar plantations and convert to something that ultimately has as mch truth in it as the pagan's religions

  i really wish there was a stronger set of words i could use to describe just how i feel when i see people STILL trying to force THEIR moral code onto others who have a different viewpoint. and for how much that viewpoint literally screws up people's lives...the contraceptives issue and the gay rights issues are particlarly sickening. sadly the thesaurus didn't seem to have anything that fit

  i've wondered that myself. if i could fry turkey slices from the deli i'd do that. or at least try it. i shold try that...

  i dunno whereabout you are, but i know in brooklyn there's a place that fries 'em and you can by sandwiches or whole turkeys fried. one day....
